| Nursing is a profession focused on assisting individuals, families, and communities in attaining, reattaining, and maintaining optimal health and functioning. During first year the student will undergo course of instruction in the following subjects: Sociology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Basic Principles and Practice of Nursing, General and Educational Psychology, Microbiology, Introduction to Community Health Nursing. |

In the following years, the subjects covered are; Pharmacology, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Community health nursing, Statistics and Introduction to Nursing Research, Growth and Development including Nutrition, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Nursing Education. The final year consists of Midwifery including Gynaecological Nursing, Nursing Administration, Trends and Issues in Nursing.
Career Prospects
The “sky is the limit” for the many challenging roles and opportunities that exist for professional nurses. Nurses can be found providing care in in major medical centers, long term and short term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community agencies such as home care, clinics and schools.There are innumerable nursing employers in the USA, UK and many foreign countries. You will be able to work almost anywhere your imagination takes you. Nurses are found in cities, rural areas, overseas, in the armed forces, at home, in institutions and industries.
Coaching is given for the students to face competitive exams like CGFNS, IELTS and NCLEX to take up jobs abroad. The institution also offers assistance to graduating students to secure placements in leading hospitals in India. |
